A police K9 (canine) is being hailed as a hero after it located a missing toddler in Ohio within 10 minutes of arriving at the scene.
It sniffed out the toddler’s location in no time after picking up the scent, this was after people were frantically searching with no luck.
So Bandit, the K9, and his partner, Deputy Frank Bleigh, were called to the scene.
“Deputy Bleigh and K-9 Bandit started the search at the front of the house and within 10 minutes Bandit had located the child,” they said. “This is exactly why we have dog units, watching this track you could tell very well that Bandit had the scent of the child and was well on his way to finding him.”
Bandit clearly has outstanding tracking and trailing abilities and is the police force’s secret weapon’ when it comes to locating missing people.
“I would like to thank Frank and Bandit for a job well done and it was so amazing to watch this unfold,” the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
