A very mysterious beluga whale made waves on social media, after some Norwegian fishermen found it, not far from a small harbour near Hammerfest. According to fishermen, the whale was wearing a harness with the words ‘Equipment St Petersburg’ imprinted on it. So the experts thought she might be trained by the Russian Navy. They even feared she won’t make it in the wild. However, the locals were pretty excited with its presence.
While the whale’s origins are far from certain, the mammal proved itself to be a really kind soul. And this quite incredible story will prove it.

As the whale was freed off its harness, she decided to linger a little bit longer into the waters near Hammerfest. With locals excited about the prospect of a spy whale, Ina Mansika with some friends decided to pay a visit to the harbour to see the wonder with their own eyes. However, Ina would never thought what was going to happen. Happy to see the creature and maybe little bit to excited, the woman dropped her phone directly into the sea. But to her astonishment, the beluga whale came back with it from the deeps.
“We laid down on the dock to look at it and hopefully get the chance to pat it. I had forgotten to close my jacket pocket and my phone fell in the ocean. We assumed it would be gone forever, until the whale dove back down and came back a few moments later with my phone in its mouth!” Ina told The Dodo.
She continued: “Everyone was so surprised. We almost didn’t believe what we saw. I was super happy and thankful that I got my phone back. The whale is so kind.”
Unfortunately, the phone could not be repaired, because of the water damages! Here can watch the incredible moment!
