A tiny, two-week-old puppy lay trembling on the side of a road, crying out in distress.
Heartless individuals had separated her from her mother, leaving her vulnerable and exposed to danger.
Too injured to move, the fragile pup couldn’t even attempt to find her mother, whom she desperately missed.

A Race Against Time
Thankfully, the puppy was discovered and taken to Bosley’s Place, a rescue and nursery for newborn and homeless puppies in Smyrna, Georgia.
The staff was heartbroken by her desperate cries.
They could see she was in agony—her tiny body covered in wounds, barely clinging to life.
Uncertain about what had happened, they rushed her to a veterinarian for a thorough examination.
The poor pup, later named Dumpling, was in critical condition. She had fractured ribs and subcutaneous emphysema, a condition caused by air trapped under her skin due to her injuries.
Veterinarians immediately administered antibiotics and pain relief. Since she was too weak to feed on her own, the rescue team began tube-feeding her.
She was closely monitored in the nursery, receiving round-the-clock care and love. Everyone hoped she had the strength to survive.
“All we can do now is give her the best care possible and pray she’s strong enough to overcome these challenges,” Bosley’s Place shared in a heartfelt Facebook post.
Dumpling battled a fever for several hours, but by morning, she had shown improvement.
Her will to survive was undeniable.
By the third day, she had gained enough strength to nurse on her own.
The rescue team showered her with affection, reassuring her that she was no longer alone. Dumpling eagerly embraced their love.
As days passed, her wounds started to heal.
Veterinarians suspected that her injuries were caused by a predatory bird attack.
A New Beginning for Dumpling
With time, Dumpling’s health made remarkable progress. Her ribs began to heal naturally, and her energy returned.
The rescue team was amazed at how quickly she recovered.
She blossomed into an affectionate, playful puppy, forming a close bond with Lentil, another rescue pup at the nursery.
Once Dumpling was completely healed, she was placed for adoption—and it wasn’t long before she found the perfect home.
Her new family adored her from the moment they met her.
Now, Dumpling enjoys life with her loving owners and her furry sister, Hazelnut Abbey, who was also adopted from the same rescue.
She even has her own Instagram account, where her adventures are shared with the world.
