Believe it or not, these animals come from the same family, as the hyena, but unlike their scavenger cousins, aardwolves only eat termites , like an aardvark.

Native to the east and south of Africa, they live in underground burrows.

Interestingly, they don’t dig any of the burrows themselves, and instead, they inhabit the abandoned burrows ‘of other animals.

They are nocturnal creatures during most seasons other.than winter where they sleep in the-night.

They are monogamous creatures and stay with the same partner for their whole lives, they are also very-family orientated.

They have long sticky tongues used to catch all those little termites, one aardwolf, can eat 300,000 in a single night.

They-are-one of few animals where the adults are as cute as the children.

Adult aardwolves can grow/ to the same size as a regular fox.
