Baby weasel takes a magical ride on woodpecker’s back

This is the magical moment a baby weasel hitches a ride on the back of a woodpecker.

The photos were taken by Martin Le-May, a photographer from East London who said he was walking in the park when he noticed some commotion nearby.

A bird flew right past them with a small mammal on its back, that’s what prompted him to pull out his camera and take these photos.

What initially seemed like a magical moment, turned out just to be a fight for survival between a woodpecker and a weasel.
